Just the two of us...

For the five people who read my blog (three of which I'm related to I think...) you'll be seeing a lot of pictures like this. Dylan and Ava - TOO CUTE!

Out of his mouth...

BACK to the blog with a few one-liners from The Boy:

-we were headed to get lunch and to the park on a nice day last weekend. We were going to McDonalds until Kyle mentioned Wendys. The Boy pipes up from the back seat and says, “I don’t want to go to Wendys! Their toys are bunk!”

-He’s very protective of his Baby Brother. He was screaming in the car; it was feeding time and we weren’t home yet. The boy says, “Momma, I think Dylan’s crying because you’re driving too fast.”

-I had mentioned that I was going back to work and needed him to help me get Dylan ready in the mornings from now on, he was going to Gigis. He got very concerned and said, “You mean we’re not going to be his family anymore?”

-His teacher’s birthday is coming up and I asked him what she likes and what we should get her. He said before she likes cotton candy jelly beans and I said we could get her cotton candy. He goes, “Momma, there’s no WAY we can get her cotton candy…we’d have to go to the FAIR…”

-After our park visit, we walked around for a bit and finally made it back to the car. He kept complaining that his feet were tired, and when we made it back to the car he goes, “PHEW… that was a WORK OUT.”

Sharing Motherhood

We shared a pregnancy and are now venturing into motherhood together... this is my dear friend Nicole with her baby girl, Ava Elaine, and me with Dylan. They are 3 1/2 weeks apart although Dylan looks to be three months old...hearty appetite, that boy. Miss Ava is doing well and is such a doll. We can't wait to watch these two grow up together!

We're doing fine!

But I have neglected the blog... I'm sorry. Too much to do and the day flies by. I'm heading back to work on Monday, 3/9 and will hopefully have more time to blog then. I know, I have time at work but not at home. I'm wonderfully overpaid for my job. :)

Mr. D. went for his one month check-up and broke the ten-pound mark at 10 pounds, 5 ounces. All he does is EAT. This baby will take 5 ounces at a time! I'm hoping ANY DAY we'll get a full nights rest. We're almost there. He's a sweetie and Natey just adores him. He's so helpful too, if Dylan makes the slightest noise Nathan is right there, and always wants to see him first thing when he gets up and last thing before bed. Brotherhood is an amazing thing to watch.

Here's an updated pic of our Chunky Monkey:

More later from the Bartletts. Gotta wash bottles and try to get a shower before picking up Natey... life with two kids is busy :)
